Privacy Policy

ACS Vietnam Solution and Technology Joint Stock Company (“we”, “us”, “our”) develops Engram, an offline AI knowledge vault for iOS (Bundle ID: vn.acstech.engram). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
Summary
- Your vault content stays on your iPhone by default.
- We do not require an account and do not operate a cloud sync service for your notes or images.
- We do not sell your data or use third-party advertising analytics in the app.
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details.
Information stored on your device
Engram stores the following locally on your iPhone:
- Photos, screenshots, and notes you capture or import
- Text extracted by on-device OCR
- Search indexes, tags, collections, and chat history
- App settings and optional PIN / biometric lock preferences
- Premium subscription status verified through Apple’s StoreKit
This data remains on your device unless you export a backup, share content through iOS, or delete the app.
Permissions we request
Photo Library & Camera
Used only when you choose to import images or capture new photos for your vault. Images are processed on-device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Face ID / Touch ID
Used optionally to unlock the app. Biometric data is handled by iOS; we do not receive or store your biometric templates.
Share Extension
When you share content from another app to Engram, that content is saved locally in your vault.
Network use
Engram is designed to work offline. Limited network access may occur when:
- You explicitly share a web URL and Engram fetches that page to save its text on-device
- Premium users download on-device AI model files to your iPhone
- Apple processes in-app purchases or subscription renewals through the App Store
We do not transmit your vault contents to our servers for indexing, AI processing, or backup.
In-app purchases
Engram offers optional Premium subscriptions and a Lifetime purchase through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple collects payment information and provides us with purchase receipts and subscription status needed to unlock features. We do not receive your full payment card number.
Backups & exports
Premium users may export an encrypted .engram backup file. You choose where to store that file (e.g. Files app, iCloud Drive, external storage). We do not host or access your backup files.
Data retention & deletion
Data persists on your device until you delete individual items, use Reset app in Settings, or uninstall Engram. We cannot remotely delete or recover your vault data because we do not store it on our servers.
Children’s privacy
Engram is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
